DESCRIPTION:The book selection for Monday\, October 9th (Indigenous Peoples Day) is :The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie. Please note that this meeting will take place at the Moss Memorial Library meeting room.  Entrance will be via the side door\, off of Main Street\, perpendicular to the entrance of The Friends of the Library Book Store. \nThe Banned Book Club stands up for intellectual rights by reading and discussing books that have been banned in libraries right here in the United States.  Anyone who cares about the freedom to exchange ideas is welcome to attend.  You may also be interested in visiting The Banned Book Club website to learn how to stand up and fight book bans and also how to get access to banned books in communities where they were banned.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Game Night which will be a night of fun and socializing for everyone.  Games are a great way to grow our minds and keep them sharp while having fun. We will begin gathering at 6:00 PM and probably start playing around 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM.  We have cards and board games\, but feel free to bring a game you love and we can learn together.  You can also bring a snack or drink to share if you like. \nGame Night occurs the 3rd Thursday of each month.

DESCRIPTION:All Clay County Democrats are invited to attend our monthly meeting at The Corner Coffee Shop in Hayesville.  This month our guest speaker is Sam Edny who was recognized as the District Volunteer of the Year and has been key in increasing democratic voter participation in the district.  Mr. Edny also serves as the Democratic  Party County Chair of Transylvania  County.   Mr. Edny will speak at 6:00 PM followed by a period for socializing and refreshments.  The CCDP will hold its business meeting starting around 7:00 PM\, and this meeting is also open for all Democrats to attend if they wish. \nThe Clay County Democratic Party monthly meeting is on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM.
