Roy Cooper
Roy Cooper is a lifelong North Carolinian who served as the state’s 75th governor from 2017 to 2025 after four terms as attorney general. Raised in Nash County and educated at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he practiced law before entering public service. As governor, he focused on strengthening public education, expanding health care access, creating jobs, and supporting rural communities across North Carolina.
If elected to U.S. Senate, Roy Cooper will continue to focus on protecting health care, strengthening the middle class, supporting veterans, and investing in education and job creation. He emphasizes opposition to policies that cut programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security while favoring wealthy interests.

Jamie Ager is a fourth-generation farmer, entrepreneur, and small-business owner from Fairview, North Carolina. He and his wife built Hickory Nut Gap into a sustainable meat company that works with farmers across the region. A graduate of Warren Wilson College, Ager is running for Congress to represent Western North Carolina and bring a community-focused approach to Washington.
Jamie will work to secure Hurricane Helene recovery funding, lower costs and raise wages for working families, expand access to affordable health care, and fight corruption such as congressional insider trading.

Before joining the court, she spent more than 30 years litigating civil rights and voting rights cases, served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice under President Bill Clinton, and founded the Southern Coalition for Social Justice.
