Building Community in Clay will meet Sunday,  February 1st, 4pm, at The Corner Coffee Shop.  So much has been happening and we must continue to work together to stand up for our civil rights and democracy.   We will also have postcards to send out at this meeting.

Feb 9, 4:00 PM

In honor of Valentine’s Day, we’ll enjoy “Speed Dating” for books. Bring a book to share, any genre. Be prepared to share 2-4 minutes of why you liked the book and why others might want to read it.

Early Voting for 2026 Primary
Feb 12th – 28th

Early Voting and Same Day Registration for the 2026 Primary is Feb 12th through Feb 28th (excluding Sundays, and the only Saturday to vote is the 28th from 8am – 3pm)… don’t miss it!  All early voting takes place at the Clay County Board of Elections Office at 75 Riverside Circle, Suite 3, Hayesville, NC 28904.  Learn more about when and where to vote here.

Building Community Hosts
Peace Vigil
Feb 14th

Join us at Good Shepherd Church, 495 Herbert Hills Dr, Hayesville, where  Building Community in Clay will host a Peace Vigil.  Julia Buckner will address the gatherers and we will have some music along with words from some of our members.  No signs please.
