Clay County Democratic Party Monthly Meeting
January 28 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EST

You are cordially invited to attend the Clay County Democratic Party meeting on Tuesday, January 28, at 6:00 PM, at MJ’s Corner Coffee Shop.
This is a rallying call to connect with like-minded neighbors because, as the saying goes, “All politics are local” – even in a divided landscape. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in shaping the future of our community and beyond.
To be successful in the 2025 and 2027 election cycles, the Clay County Democratic Party must become a stronger, more viable organization. Your involvement is critical to building that strength and achieving our shared goals.
If you’re interested in assisting us in any capacity, we’d love to hear from you. Additionally, we have immediate needs for a treasurer and a secretary. If you or someone you know would be willing to help fill these key roles, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Join us as we discuss strategy, share ideas, and take meaningful steps toward creating change. Let’s ensure our voices are heard and our values guide the way forward.
We look forward to seeing you there. Together, we can make an impact!

New Business:
Think about the future
Calling all of our best communicators – we need to offer to Clay County citizens articulate and convincing information to counter the propaganda being spewed. The new president called Jan 20 a day of liberation – I nearly choked, but many heard that and said “ya, absolutely” We must use our voices to oppose.
If anyone feels called to even think about running for any elected office, please keep thinking and start talking about it with us.
If anyone is interested in learning more about serving on the Clay County BOE Board which
meets monthly if there is an agenda, more intensely at election time, receive training.
If anyone is interested in working the polls in this cycle – we need many every year despite the loyalty of many long term committed workers.
NCDP executive office elections are gearing up ~ Anderson Clayton is turning 27 and running again, as is Jonah Garson 1st vice chair. I haven’t heard from any others.
Announcements from the floor
We would love suggestions of speakers for our meetings – think of some people you’d like to hear from.
