Clay County Democratic Party Monthly Meeting

We have a Headquarters Office for 2026! Our April Monthly Meeting will be held at our new headquarters at 568 Tusquittee St. We are between D&S Custom Leather and the Market Apartments. Our sign is up but it’s difficult to see behind the leather shop trailer.

Parking is limited directly in front of our building but I trust we can manage while being great neighbors and keeping safety in mind on busy Tusquittee. Below is a write up to explain the parking but I also attempted some visual aids to help- red boxes mean YES parking, red X means NO parking.

**First to arrive please angle park with your nose in the left corner of the front of the building. Next car parallel to that etc., and we’ll see how many cars we can fit that way. If all those spaces are taken, please pull to the far side of the red roof building, The leather shop, and pull toward the back ~ as part of our good neighbor policy. **

This month Wendy Slaton of the Clay County FLIP Committee will be our guest speaker and will update us on the latest information regarding the recent NC Supreme Court decision on the Leandro case and the disastrous impact it could have to the NC public school system and Clay County public education.

All community members are invited to attend our monthly meeting at our Clay County Headquarters Office at 568 Tusquittee Street in Hayesville. We meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

• 5:30 PM – Informal social time to meet and connect
• 6:00 PM – Guest speaker presentation
• 6:30 PM (approx.) – Business meeting.  The business portion of the meeting is open for all to attend if they wish.
