2026 General Election Voting Options

You must be registered to vote by October 9, 2026 to vote in the statewide General Election on election day. If you are not registered to vote yet, you can register and vote the SAME DAY during Early Voting. You can verify your registration and see your SAMPLE BALLOT for the General Election by visiting https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/

General Election Day
Tuesday November 3rd, 2026

Vote in person on election day at your voting precinct listed below. Polls are open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm.

Vote by Mail
(i.e. Absentee Voting)

Absentee voting begins Sept 4th, 2026 for the General Election. Deadline to request an absentee ballot for the primary election is Oct 20th 2026 and deadline to submit the ballot is Nov 3 2026 @ 7:30PM. Request an absentee ballot here.

Early in Person Voting
& One-Stop Voting

In person early voting for the 2026 General Election begins Oct 15, 2026, and ends at 5 PM on Oct 31, 2026 at 3:00 PM. During early voting, voters may cast a ballot at the Clay County Board of Elections office, and would-be voters may same-day register and vote.
