To Qualify to Vote in Clay County North Carolina, you must be:
- A United States citizen.
- A resident of North Carolina and this county 30 days prior to the election.
- 18 by the next general election.
- Not registered to vote in another state or county.
- If you were a convicted felon with a completed sentence, your rights have been reinstated.
Voters must be registered 25 days prior to the election (i.e. 5:00 PM Oct 11, 2024 for the 2024 General Election) unless using Same-Day One-Stop registration and voting. In a partisan primary, voters affiliated with a political party may only vote their party’s ballot and may not vote in another party’s primary.
