To Qualify to Vote in Clay County North Carolina, you must be:

A United States citizen.
A resident of North Carolina and this county 30 days prior to the election.
18 by the next general election.
Not registered to vote in another state or county.
If you were a convicted felon with a completed sentence, your rights have been reinstated.

Voters must be registered 25 days prior to the election (i.e. 5:00 PM Oct 11, 2024 for the 2024 General Election) unless using Same-Day One-Stop registration and voting. In a partisan primary, voters affiliated with a political party may only vote their party’s ballot and may not vote in another party’s primary.
